Central Asian Özbekistan (Uzbekistan) - Samarqand (Samarkand) Block Print

Block print on hand loomed cotton from Samarqand (Samarkand), Özbekistan (Uzbekistan). 

Unusual motifs derived from Rus (Russian) influence, which look like playing card symbols. Survived in great condition. All natural dyes are used in block printing. It is in great condition. Many of these block prints are used for blanket linings and similar purposes.

Dated between 1900 and 1920
