Silk Embroidered Nim Suzani from Özbekistan (Uzbekistan). Such suzanis are hardly used during prayer. Fine chain stitch silk embroidery on a very fine hand-loomed cotton. Beautiful scrolls with paisley motifs surrounding three sides. Stylized pomegranate motifs decorate over the niche / mihrap on each side of its corners. It has silk edging and printed cotton backing.
