Central Asian Özbekistan (Uzbekistan) - Buxårå (Bukhara) Nim Prayer Suzani

Silk Embroidered Nim Prayer Sozana (Suzani) from Buxårå (Bukhara), Özbekistan (Uzbekistan). Fine silk chain stitch embroidery on silk like fine cotton. Stylized pomegranate motifs decorating all around it. There is a wear like color change on lower field which looks like the footsteps of the praying person. Such pieces were not made to pray on. However, it may be an exception by a female person that lasted for a short while. Great natural saturated colors with Russian printed cotton backing.
