Central Asian Türkistan (Central Asia) - Applique Wall Hanging

Qırğız (Kyrgyz) Applique Wall Hanging from Türkistan (Central Asia). It survived from use in Qırğız yurts to present day. It was in pretty bad condition but was able to survive. We did our best to make it happen. Fine cotton hand cut and applique with traditional motifs. Printed cotton backing has been added to give it a body. It is now in good condition.

It is dated between the 1930s and 1940s
