Balkan Ellas (Greece) - Greek Islands Silk Embroidery on Linen

Silk Embroidery on Linen from Ellas (Greece). A nice rare Crete or Rhodes island silk embroidery hanging. Elaborately drawn with scrolls and jumping squirrels in between them. Traditional Greek light blue color and madder red used in embroidery. In good condition. It has a few small light stains. Missing 3 corner ornaments, but one corner still has one.

It is dated between the 1900s and mid 1920s
