Lakay (Lakai) Çaçvon Bridal Face Veil from Özbekistan (Uzbekistan). Uyğur (Uyghur) people have a very similar headdress that they call a Çümbäl. The Tocik (Tajik) people call it a Rubänd (Ruband). This veil is woven with horse tail hair and embroidered with beads at its skirt. The top border is silk chain stitch embroidery on wool trade cloth and the edges are framed with cotton fabric. It has some wears as seen on the images. In fairly good condition to hang on a wall. It is dated from the 1900s to the 1920s.
