Central Asian Tocikston (Tajikstan) – Silk Ikat Çopon (Chapan) Robe

Silk Ikat Çopon (Chapan) Robe from Tocikston (Tajikstan). In a deep purple color with silk on silk ikat, which is woven much finer than Adras ikat which is with cotton. This is made with a silk warp-silk weft, lined with Russian printed cotton, faced with adras ( 50 % cotton – 50 % silk ) ikat, and has green silk fabric trim on all edges. It is in fairly good condition. It is dated from the 1900s to the 1920s.
