Central Asian Özbekistan (Uzbekistan) - Çowdur (Chowdur) Chapan Fragment

Silk embroidered Çowdur (Chowdur) Chapan fragment from Özbekistan (Uzbekistan). Amazing fine silk embroidery with traditional motifs on wool broadcloth. It has great Adras silk Ikat backing, but is partly worn and still hanging there. Three sides chain stitch green silk embroidery edging.
