An Üç Etek Kaftan Dress made of Kutnu Silk from Gaziantep, Türkiye (Turkey). Kutnu fabric used to be woven in Aleppo, Suriyä (Syria). As well as in Hama and Humus, Suriyä and in Gaziantep during the Ottoman era. It is still woven in Türkiye. It has 6000 to 7000 vertical warp yarns and cotton wefts which give body to the fabric. We see a great Cochineal insect red color and famous yellow and indigo mixed pistachio green. It is bordered with metallic braided yarn that adds to its beauty. It survived in some hope chests to present day. It is probably between a small and medium size.
It is dated between the 1920s and 1940s
