Central Asian Özbekistan (Uzbekistan) - Farğåna (Fergana) Silk Suzani

Fine chain stitch silk embroidery on Adras Ikat Suzani from Farğåna (Fergana), Özbekistan (Uzbekistan). Natural colors from vegetable dyes. After Soviet breakdown Özbek (Uzbek) tribes went back to the tradition of making fine Suzanis with their older and classical designs. Such Suzanis are a revival of antique ones from the Soviet era.
