Embroidered Silk Nim Suzani from Buxårå (Bukhara), Özbekistan (Uzbekistan). Fine chain stitch embroidery on Atlas Ikat, woven in a silk and cotton mixture. Traditional prayer design. After Soviet breakdown Özbek (Uzbek) tribes went back to the tradition of making fine Suzanis with their older and classical designs. Such Suzanis are a revival of antique ones but made in the very same tradition. Natural colors from Vegetable dyes. Traditional floral design.
