Central Asian Özbekistan (Uzbekistan) – Şaxrisabz (Shahrisabz) Lakai Suzani

A Lakay (Lakai) silk cross-stich embroidered Sozana (Suzani) from Şaxrisabz (Shahrisabz), Özbekistan (Uzbekistan). Pretty fine silk cross-stitch embroidery with natural colors and a traditional Central Asian medallion layout surrounded with boteh motifs. The name of the weaver, Zeynabxon Matluba, is written on each side of the medallion.

It is dated to the early 20th century.
