Central Asian Özbekistan (Uzbekistan) - Farğåna (Fergana) Silk Suzani

Silk Embroidered Suzani from Farğåna (Fergana), Özbekistan (Uzbekistan). Very fine silk chain-stitch embroidery on khan atlas ikat. Natural colors from vegetable dyes. Traditional Özbek floral spiral pomegranate designs which symbolize the fruit of fertility and paradise. The embroiderer was an older lady and very experienced. She did fabulous workmanship.

It is dated between 2005 and 2010
