Middle Eastern İran (Persia) - Türkmensäxra Silk Embroidered Hat

Türkmen Yomut Tribe Silk Embroidered Hat from Türkmensähra (Turkmensahra) in Gonbäd-e Kavus, İran (Persia). Türkmen tribes live in Northern İran by the Türkmenistan border. This is one of the first hats we have seen in this style – the wool they used for it is felted and fluffy in a way. They used older motifs of “one for all, all for one”. 

It is dated between the 1960s and 1970s
