Beaded Farğåna (Fergana) Valley Hat from Andicon, Özbekistan (Uzbekistan). Farğåna Valley is the most traditional part of Özbekistan where semi-tribal life still goes on. Glass beaded embroidery on velvet with motifs of flying butterflies which are a sign of happiness. They say that out there, happiness is like a butterfly, if you turn your attention to other things, they come and calmly sit on your shoulders. Black velvet trim with cotton lining. Perfect condition as if it was used on special days.
