Farğåna (Fergana) Valley Hat from Özbekistan (Uzbekistan). Fine silk cross stitch embroidery in square shape which is the most common type of Özbek male and female hat. Peacocks depicted on four sides. Writing on it reads: ТОВУС – UZBEK SSR – 1974. Lined with printed cotton with velvet trim.
