Central Asian Özbekistan (Uzbekistan) - Çowdur (Chowdur) Silk Embroidery Hat

Çowdur (Chowdur) Türkmen (Turkmen) tribal hat from the middle Amu Därya river delta. Silk embroidery on fine cotton. Traditional designs of Çowdur Türkmen living in south Özbekistan (Uzbekistan) by the Afğan (Afghan) border. It has the shape of their traditional domed felt tents. Natural colors – pistachio green, madder red, indigo blue, cochineal red and weld (Dyer’s weed) yellow. Rus printed cotton lining. Silk loop-manipulation trim.

It is dated between the 1900s and 1920s
