Middle Eastern İran (Persia) - Esfähan (Isfahan) Dervish Kolah Felt Hat

Dervish Kolah Felt Hat from Esfähan (Isfahan), İran (Persia). This is an unfinished dervish hat from Esfähan. Made of a well pressed felt. The drawing has classical floral Safavid influence with palmettes and the top has twelve sections representing the twelve Imams of their sect. It never got the chance to have embroidery done on it. All embroidery work used to be done by male dervishes. The lower border does not have any drawings.

It is dated between the 1990s and 2000s
