Central Asian Türkmenistan (Turkmenistan) - Teke (Tekke) Silk Embroidered Hat

Teke (Tekke) Silk Embroidered Hat from Türkmenistan (Turkmenistan). Pretty, fine silk lacing, chain and running stitches on a plain hand loomed cotton foundation. Silk loop manipulation trim with geometric tint triangle designs. Plain cotton lining. Saturated natural yellow, cochineal and deep bluish green colors. It has great patina and condition with minor wears. A great and rare sample that has survived.

It is dated between the 1920s and 1930s
