Central Asian Afğanistan (Afghanistan) -Xäybär (Khyber) Pass Embroidered Hat

Embroidered Hat from the Xäybär (Khyber) Pass in Afğanistan (Afghanistan). A metallic embroidered ethnic hat. There are some ethnic tribes living in the Xäybär Pass and according to some of my picker friends, this hat belongs to one of those groups. The lower part was usually wrapped with a fine silk turban. This is the first one with a Türkmen design that we have seen. It is used with care and survived in good condition.

It is dated before or between the 1940s and 1950s.
