Central Asian Altişähär (Xinjiang) – Velvet Embroidered Dopa (Doppa) Cap

Velvet Dopa with Bead Embroidery from Qäşqär (Kashgar), Altişähär (Xinjiang). It is designed in 4 panels which can be folded into a triangle shape for carrying in pockets. Pearl beaded embroidery on velvet. Traditional Uyğur motifs. Red plain cotton lining with black velvet trim.

It is dated from the 1970s to the 1980s.
