Middle Eastern İran (Persia) - Xorasan (Khorasan) Silk Embroidered Hat

Silk Embroidered Hat from Xorasan (Khorasan), İran (Persia). Şahsevän (Shahsevan) tribes. Fine silk embroidery on a double layer cotton. Floral designs surround the side and top part. Some natural dyes – cochineal and purple. Unnatural pink colors which are signs of happiness. Very fine embroidered trim with fine plain cotton lining. 

It is dated between the 1950s and 1960s.
