Central Asian Türkmenistan (Turkmenistan) - Teke (Tekke) Silk Embroidered Hat

Teke (Tekke) Silk Embroidered Hat from Türkmenistan (Turkmenistan). Very fine silk embroidery on a hand loomed silk fabric. So called TAMĞA signs cover the sides. It features natural colors from vegetable dyes with deep purple and gold yellow. Images are close up shots with the actual embroidery being a few times finer than it looks in the images. Printed Rus cotton lining with silk manipulation trim. Survived in great condition.

It is dated between the 1900s and 1920s
