Middle Eastern İran (Persia) - Qaşqay (Qashqai) Silver Embroidered Hat

Qaşqay (Qashqai) Silver Embroidered Hat from İran (Persia). The Qaşqay are the second largest Turkic group that still partly live in nomadic tents in southwest İran. There are very well-known rug weavers and wool producing people under several of their major tribes. This hat may belong to the Qaşquli or Şaqarlı tribes. Most portions of the hat are embroidered with high karat silver threads. The dome is covered with brocade fabric and silver. It has great patina from use and stayed in top condition. Lined with red color plain cotton.

It is dated between the 1940s and 1950s.
