Glass Bead Embroidered Hat from Kütahya, Türkiye (Turkey). Glass trade beads were used in the form of the famous “ X ” sign. We still wonder what it really meant back in those days. All the beads have great natural color shades. These hats were given as graduation presents after children completed their elementary and religious schools. It has been used on special holidays and ceremonial days (like the circumcision ceremony). It is used and has the signs of wear in several places. Lined with plain cotton with a red cotton trim.

It is dated between the 1920s and 1940s.
