Central Asian Türkmenistan (Turkmenistan) – Yomut (Yomud) Burqov Choker

Technically from Burqov, but nowadays spelled Burkov. This is an important item for Yomut (Yomud) tribes to use on their weddings and other important days. It's made of a high karat silver band decorated with gilded plaques and silver hanging bells. Decorated with plaques and stamps on the back part, indicating cosmic elements from the sky and earth according to ancient Shamanistic beliefs. Carnelian stones of a good size decorate the front. A silver hinge is used to open it. It has great patina from use and has survived in good hands.
