Central Asian Özbekistan (Uzbekistan) – Låqay (Lakai) Hanging

Låqay (Lakai) silk embroidered decorative band from Özbekistan (Uzbekistan). 120 finely made silk tassels braided into a silk cross stitched band. Natural colors from vegetable dyes. It reflects one of the types of fine Låqay embroidery and silk decoration. 

Dated between 1900 and 1920
