Eastern European Rome - Elite Style Necklace
$475.00
So, I based this off a Roman-era necklace that was recently listed by Freeman's Auction House. For copyright reasons, I cannot post a picture of this necklace, but I've attached the link to it on their website:

Of course, I changed a few things in my necklace, but nothing that wouldn't have been conceivable. For instance, I replaced the dark blue multi-segment beads with Barbara Metzger's "Basha" beads. Basha beads have become quite rare and are the result of Metzger's attempts to replicate Roman glass beads. These specific beads are part of her "Labradorite" series. Again, they are rare beads and were quite expensive for me to obtain. So, if you like the style of the necklace, but bulk at the price, let me know. I can make a similar necklace without the Basha beads.
I also added some clear carved melon quartz from Afghanistan to add to its "Silk Road" theme.
Finally, the metal components are raw solid bronze. Unless maintained, they will darken with age.
This necklace is great for collectors or for those interested in cosplay and historical reenactments involving Sogdian, Scythian, Kushan, Turkic, Hunnic, Persian, Sassanian, Armenian, Georgian, Alan, Roman, Byzantine, Greek, Viking, and/or Rus peoples, among others.
This item is located in our American depot, which ships from the U.S.A.
