Central Asian Eränşähr (Sasanian İran) - Persian Elite Style Intaglio Necklace

I bought this seal as an authentic Säsäniyän (Sasanian or Sassanid) intaglio or seal from Late Antique Eränşähr (Persia). Now, I cannot say with absolute authority that anything is 100% authentic or not; however, I will say that I have seen thousands of intaglios, real and fake, and this one is probably an antique to vintage replica. That being said, it is a nice one!

The seal is of Säsäniyän nobleman or elite. I personally favor ones like this one that do not have any script. Sometimes, the carver is told to add script to the intaglio and this often results in the inclusion of random legends or even combinations of letters. It's great for historical re-enactment, especially for Säsäniyän themes.

The carnelian beads used here are from Afğanistan (Afghanistan) as I like to use material that is at least from the region. Everything is hand-carved, from the intaglio itself to the beads.
