The Wuqäyä (وقاية), meaning "protection," is a headdress from Filästin (Palestine) known to have been worn around the areas of Quds (Jerusalem) and Räm Älläh (Ramallah). A bonnet like headdress, It would be placed under the head veil with a coin fringe across the forehead. Like the Şätweh (Shatweh), it was a rare headdress, and not everyone had one. It was often worn by the bride, but not a married woman. This sample of revival art is made of antique Tatriz (تطريز) or "embroidery" from Filastin.
