Caucasus Hayastan (Armenia) - Ancient Armenian Style Textile Fabric Print
$80.00
Please read the WHOLE description. So... this amazing textile is featured in a miniature of the Armenian King of Cilicia, Levon II (Լէոն Բ). The artwork is from the Matenadaran No. 8321 manuscript. The style is undoubtedly derivative of Seljuk artwork, especially given the Lion and Sun symbol that was first adopted by Kaykhusraw II (Yes, I know the symbol is older than that, but the specific style featured here is his). The robe worn by Levon II, however, is clearly not Seljuk. Ultimately, this is a really cool design that I think would be great in early Medieval and even Late Antique themed clothing and artwork.
I drew this by hand then digitized it myself, as I do with all my textile designs.
If you want different colors let me know, it can easily be done.
