Yılan Balıq was the Hoŋa dynasty's capital until 119 B.C.E. when it was abandoned after the Hoŋa's defeat at the Battle Below Zhao Xin’s City in 119 B.C.E.
The Yılan Bağır chain, as it is known in some Tägäräk languages, comes from the Sumerian loop-in-loop chain via contact with Iranic peoples. It is also known as a Türkmen chain across Türkmenistan, Afğanistan, and parts of İran.
Ğäznä, known also as Ğäzni or Ğäznin, is an ancient city along the Silk Road. In ancient times it was known as Kuäznä and even earlier as Äleksändreiä Opiäne for a period after Alexander III's conquest of Turän.
